Ingredients

  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled, plus extra for garnish
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam or preserves
  • 4 graham cracker sheets, crushed
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • Extra strawberry jam for drizzle

Method

  1. Reserve 2 strawberries for garnish. Slice the remaining strawberries.
  2. In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, sliced strawberries, softened cream cheese, milk, and strawberry jam.
  3. Blend for 20-30 seconds until smooth and creamy. The cream cheese should be fully incorporated.
  4. Swirl strawberry jam around the inside of two tall glasses using a spoon.
  5. Pour the milkshake into the glasses.
  6. Top with whipped cream.
  7. Sprinkle crushed graham crackers generously over the whipped cream.
  8. Garnish with a fresh strawberry on the rim of each glass.
  9. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened (leave it out for 30 minutes) or you'll get lumps. Fresh strawberries give the best flavor, but frozen works too — just thaw them first and drain excess liquid. For an extra-thick shake, use frozen strawberries straight from the freezer. The graham cracker crumble on top gets a little soft after a minute, so serve and eat fast!
