Method
- Crush 1/2 cup of the mini pretzels into small pieces. Leave the other 1/2 cup in larger chunks for texture.
- Drizzle caramel sauce generously around the inside walls of two tall glasses.
- Add the caramel ice cream, milk, crushed pretzels, and 3 tablespoons salted caramel sauce to a blender.
- Blend for 15-20 seconds until smooth but with pretzel bits still visible.
- Pour into the caramel-drizzled glasses.
- Top with whipped cream and the remaining pretzel chunks pressed into the cream.
- Drizzle extra caramel sauce over the whipped cream.
- Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt on top and serve with a wide straw.
Notes
The flaky sea salt on top is not optional — it's what makes this milkshake special. That pop of salt against the sweet caramel is addictive. If you can't find caramel ice cream, use vanilla and add an extra 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce. For extra crunch, dip the glass rim in caramel sauce and then crushed pretzels.
