Peanut Butter Cup Milkshake

If you've ever eaten a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and thought "I need this in liquid form," you're welcome. This milkshake is everything a peanut butter cup is — rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and that perfect sweet-salty balance — except you drink it through a straw and it's somehow even better.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chocolate ice cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 4 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, chopped, plus 2 for garnish
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzle
  • Peanut butter for glass drizzle
  • Chopped peanuts for garnish

Method

  1. Using a spoon or squeeze bottle, drizzle peanut butter and chocolate sauce in alternating stripes around the inside walls of two tall glasses.
  2. Add the chocolate ice cream, milk, creamy peanut butter, and 4 chopped peanut butter cups to a blender.
  3. Blend for 15-20 seconds until thick and combined. You want some peanut butter cup chunks remaining.
  4. Pour into the drizzled glasses.
  5. Top with whipped cream.
  6. Drizzle chocolate sauce and peanut butter over the whipped cream in a crosshatch pattern.
  7. Press a whole peanut butter cup into the top of each glass and sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
  8. Serve immediately with a thick straw.

Notes

Freeze the peanut butter cups for 10 minutes before chopping — they hold their shape better in the blender and give you those satisfying chunks. Use natural peanut butter for a more intense, less sweet flavor, or regular creamy for that classic Reese's taste. This pairs amazingly with a pretzel straw if you can find one.
