Brownie Batter Milkshake

If you've ever been caught licking the brownie batter bowl, this milkshake is your legal way to eat raw brownie batter without anyone judging you. It's impossibly rich, deeply chocolatey, and tastes like you blended an entire pan of fudgy brownies into a glass.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chocolate ice cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
  • 4 small brownies or 1 cup brownie pieces
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • Extra brownie piece for garnish
  • Chocolate shavings for topping
  • Chocolate sauce for glass drizzle

Method

  1. Drizzle chocolate sauce generously around the inside walls of two tall glasses.
  2. Reserve 2 small brownie pieces for garnish. Break the remaining brownies into chunks.
  3. Add the chocolate ice cream, milk, cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, and brownie chunks to a blender.
  4. Blend for 15-20 seconds. You want it smooth but with some brownie bits still intact for texture.
  5. Pour into the chocolate-drizzled glasses.
  6. Top with whipped cream.
  7. Place a brownie piece on top of the whipped cream in each glass.
  8. Add chocolate shavings and an extra drizzle of chocolate sauce.
  9. Serve immediately with a thick straw — you'll need it for the brownie chunks.

Notes

Use fudgy brownies, not cakey ones — the fudgy texture blends better and gives you those amazing chewy bits. If you don't have brownies on hand, use brownie mix stirred into the shake (yes, dry mix — it's safe and tastes amazing). Dutch-process cocoa powder gives a darker, richer flavor than regular cocoa. For an over-the-top experience, use brownie batter ice cream as your base.
