Air Fryer Pepperoni Pizza Rolls

Remember those frozen pizza rolls that were basically the highlight of every after-school snack session? Forget them.

Ingredients
  

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 24 slices pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Cooking spray
  • Small bowl of water (for sealing)
For Serving
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, warmed
  • Grated parmesan for sprinkling
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Small bowl of water for sealing
  • Fork for pressing edges
  • Cooking spray

Method
 

  1. Lay out your wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place one slice of pepperoni in the center of each wrapper.
  2. Top each pepperoni slice with about 2 teaspoons of shredded mozzarella, a tiny pinch of Italian seasoning, and a dash of garlic powder.
  3. Dip your finger in water and wet the edges of each wonton wrapper. Fold corner to corner to make a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal. Make sure there are no air pockets.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C). Spray the basket with cooking spray.
  5. Place the pizza rolls in a single layer in the basket (don't let them touch). Spray the tops generously with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Shake the basket halfway through for even browning.
  7. Sprinkle with grated parmesan immediately after cooking. Serve hot with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Press the edges firmly when sealing — any gap means the cheese leaks out and the pepperoni oil makes a mess. Wet edges with water, then press with a fork for the most secure seal. Don't overfill — 1 pepperoni + 2 teaspoons cheese is the right amount. These cook fast so set a timer. The wonton wrappers go from golden to burnt in less than a minute.
